Juliet’s Regrets

Blushing, hushing
Tripping on poppies
The air’s sweet exhale ruffles
Feathery dark leaves
Heavy, dragging sweetness pours from
The sensual crux of blooms
Hanging like lips on tongues to the soles of our petal feet
The world is in love
While we are falling out
Bright, timber eyes
Rumble deep into my skin
I wonder what he saw
Where all I saw were tremors in the
Cloth-wrinkles that hid less than the
Night did and did do the stained glass of our insides
Little, too little justice
